Dell Inspiron M101z: ultra-thin 11.6-inch AMD platform

Dell today announced the launch of a new ultraportable computer. The Inspiron M101z has the distinction of being the first to ultrafine manufacturer based on an AMD platform. It loads actually one of the very latest low voltage processors from AMD, and a graphics chip from ATI.
It revolves around a WXGA (1366 x 768 pixels) backlit LED 11.6-inch, and is devoid of optical drive, like his elder Intel platform. It should therefore provide a good weight autonomy, 6 cell battery comes standard giving an endurance of 6 hours 30 minutes for a weight not given.
It therefore contains a single processor heart Athlon II Neo K125, clocked at 1.7 GHz and equipped with 1MB of cache memory for a TDP of 12W, or a double heart K325, the reduced frequency of 1.3 GHz but doubling the cache for the same TDP. The ATI graphics chip integrated AMD M880G chipset is not a god of war, but it provides hardware acceleration of decoding high definition video. We also find 2GB of DDR3 memory at 800 MHz and a standard hard drive 250 GB
Regarding the connectors and accessories found last Wi-Fi N, Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI output, 3 USB 2.0 ports, a webcam with 1.3 million pixels and an SD memory card reader. 3G modem and a TV tuner will soon be offered as an option.
The Dell Inspiron M101z is marketed in France for several minutes on the website of the manufacturer . The basic model (single processor to the heart) is sold 400 euros.
